Asus has decided to make an integrated and switchable CULV processor and discrete graphics in a 13.3-inch form factor, and you know what to overclock the processor. What a genius idea!
Asus claims 12 hours battery life for this child (UL30Vt-A1 model), and while it is certainly a reference point if the computer to do anything at all in battery saving mode, this is pretty amazing battery life under load heavy. I played an HD (720p) H.264 video up on this computerfrom about 60% battery life. It 'been looking through the entire movie on battery. This is certainly surprising, since most mainstream notebooks took me an hour and 20 minutes to an hour and a half maybe just surf the Internet or writing a paper he had. I can video chat with my girlfriend for 3 hours in the "Home Office and still had 4 hours of life until the end of the 7th for Windows
Even more surprising, this notebook has decent performance withoutwhile the battery life. I also use my experience with HD video, up to that. played with discrete NVIDIA GT 210m running, the laptop is the film with such flexibility, it was incredible that the life of the battery would last the whole movie.
Switching between modes of performance is as easy as pressing the button "Graphx push" to switch integrated or discrete graphics card, or let go to make the switch automatically, or you can press the Fn key and press the spacebar between the High Performance, Entertainment, Home Office, or change the way power management battery. Both work quite well, although there was a slight moment when the screen goes black when switching between integrated and discrete graphics.
Physically, it pretty simple, although a small increase in weight due to the battery works. Quality wise, the construction feels strong enough, though very slight decline of the frame at the center of the keyboard. The keyboard layout is mypersonal favorite for this size of a laptop. Most of the buttons are where you expect, and the only key that he gave the right shift key, but I do not know the right shift key, making it perfect for me. I am a bit 'noisy side, but it is just a small thing.
The touchpad design is an interesting model with the dimples, where is located the touchpad and the mouse button. I can not say I'm happy, though with Multi-Touch gestures, largeplus. You can scroll with two fingers, two fingers of the middle mouse button, and three fingers of the right mouse button. And 'MacBook pretty-like. The main complaint I had with it is that the touchpad is not sensitive enough. Sometimes does not recognize my finger for a split second, and all of a sudden, I misclick in a display in a browser. It does not happen often, but when it works, it's annoying. I thought I would not want the universe button, but I like art, the system works is that there is a section on the leftClicking on the extreme left and a section on the right mouse button on the extreme right. It works when I use it, and does not feel weak or anything. It's just that if you click near the center of the button, you are probably already a little 'problems, but I'm used to very quickly. I have my own laptop mouse, however, and that's what I use most of the time.
Thermal power is quite good. This is my first laptop, I can easily get on my knees for an extended periodTime. The only time it is hot enough, if you look really intensive tasks, like a movie, or play games. Is not "so hot it would burn my legs, so that is definitely a great advantage.
The screen is not bad, but not the best. It 'pretty light on the brightest setting, and can be very dark in the darkest setting. The viewing angles are not surprising, as I have my screen, as if I need to adjust or dangle a bit 'when I sit with perfect posture becauseinvert the colors always a bit '. Not a big problem for me, but I usually adjust the screen so that I like to see my webcam.
The speakers are very good quality. It 'easy to say that the sound came not to be the kind of home theater quality speakers, but not bad sounds terrible, like an echo, I heard the loudspeakers of very low quality. Overall, they serve their purpose well.
Even with all the little complaints,although I still love this laptop. Performs well, feels great, and it is amazing battery life to boot. I strongly recommend this laptop for anyone with a laptop computer for the perfect balance. It has good power and amazing battery life for a great price. If you read this review, means that you have thought about buying this … Do so. You will not regret.

It took a year for a laptop that I wanted to see really. Since the beginning of 2009 were of netbooks on their way to their death, I was really looking for a laptop that was small but had good battery life and has no end Unnecessary loose (as ugly external batteries!) There is much cheaper alternatives, such as Acer, not Asus Cannont compare aesthetically.
I love this laptop, and I only paid, 750 for him! And 'powerful enough to play the Sims (YAY!), Butbright enough to take 9 hours for homework! What is the real reason I bought it! Online classes are so many that I told him to go on the laptop and this allows you to do!
It's never too hot lap, so we must worry about overheating lot dont. Its small enough to fit easily into a briefcase or Totebag comfortable. The keys are comfortable and distributes the only one who has some must be used to set the side buttons! (But this is easy!) The function keys areeasy to say and very useful.
This is my first notebook and I am very glad I waited. Asus makes popular product, and I encourage all those who purchase a laptop, when in reality only to help you find the research, take what you want!
The only complaint I have a small rubber pads on the ground and was now I can not find! I'll see if I can buy something else later.

This is a fantastic laptop. I did it for two weeks, now uses when loading programs and games are just to look like, what it can do. Much can be done! And I was surprised to find out reasonable if not good in many areas. In exchange for each thought: 'thin and light – Yes, 3.74 is light and thin, is definitely lighter than a MacBook Pro (£ 4.25) but not lighter than a Vaio Z or MacBook Air the flat is £ 3. How is the rubble? – Lots of complaintsappeal appeared on the screen and no color terrible. The screen is good, colorful and certainly bright. And 'looking like Envy Macbook Pro 13 or 13, No, but not so far to call it a deal breaker. People have made too much of this and I feel that ASUS has improved its LED in this release. The hard disk is slow, no doubt, but not necessarily big enough that if you grab (75% + usage) is quite fast. Also note that rapidDrive will also eat more battery, whose preservation is important for this project. What is the processor? Very impressed with this little beast overclocking – I see the device operates at 2.1 times, even if you could only 1.3 – to be my imagination, but certainly not overclock to 1.7. And 'fast enough and I have iTunes, applications, photos, mail, open multiple browsers and everything still works fine. The 4 GB of RAM I'm sure has a lot to do with it. Thee best part ofLaptop is the graphics card. Holy Moly – one of those machines at low cost, discrete graphics card 2x computer as an expensive race for their money (before all). And 'well, a bit' too good for this machine. It runs games like my 8600M GT 512 MB on my MacBook Pro – very impressive. The trackpad is good, not my favorite (yes, bottom, and MacBook Pro), but honestly, fairly decent all day and when you get used to it, once you get the hang of multi-touch. In summary,$ 750, it is difficult to get a better car and I have a Dell laptop and HP had to die on me, I tried Asus. So far, I could not be happier.
Bigger Battery and a Better Warranty on the A1 Variant! – Simon Perkins – Santa Fe, NM United States
I recently ordered this laptop, after all the great contributions online. I was a good thin and light notebook with reasonable performance, the process can also search for HD video streaming. The UL30VT seemed to be the price / performance sweet spot with the perfect base. There are two options currently on the Amazon – the UL30VT-X1 in black and silver UL30VT-A1. I took this black and press the "Order. Unfortunately, shortly after that I still read the specifications andClearly these two models are not the same thing!
First, the X1 comes with a 4400mAh battery, while the A1 new hoses with a 5600mAh battery. This is the batter life 27% more, that if you believe that producers amounts to 2-3 hours of additional run-time. Furthermore, the A1 is guaranteed for 2 years, 1 year warranty offered with the X1 in comparison. to two laptops for the same selling price within a few dollars at the time of writing. The only difference between the other machines isthat A1 is silver instead of black. So if you absolutely hate the color silver, the choice is practically child's play …
I was a bit 'too late to cancel and change my order, so I intend to send him back for a refund of 100% when it arrives. Meanwhile, I ordered the A1 … Hoping to save someone else the same effort!
